Hi I am new to this site, my son had an emergency ileo done this June, at first we had about 10 absolute obstructions, the last one this October. Since then we are having prolapses, at first it was one a month, then every other week, it is now down to all the time. He has CP and uses a wheelchair so is sat most of the day, the intestine prolapses very fast and if not checked will be over 9" long and very swollen before you can get him out of his chair. I am concerned with him loosing blood supply. It seems that sitting and emotions are causing most of this. His doctor mentioned a revision, I am not sure what this involves, but I am not looking to put him though more surgery if I can help it. I read about the belt, I am concerned about stopping the flow due to all the obstructions he has had. Has anyone any info as to what a revision involves. I am sure that the possition of his stoma is not helping either, It is right were all the waist belt part of his clothes go.
