Dry bag after showering

Wasn't sure if anyone else has done this, but I was sick and tired of having to blow dry my bag after showering. I bought the Glad "Press and Seal" wrap and I can mold it around the bag and tape the top above the seal to my skin and just peel it all off after the shower and everything is dry! Just a tip.

LOL! I never thought about that or blow drying it--too funny!!

i use the press and seal too, someone on a forum, maybe this one, gave that tip. it doesn't keep it compelty dry, but ti does help. I also fold the bag up and tape it to the top of the flange so it's smaller. then i use the hair dryer too, if it got wet enough

Thanks, that's a good tip. I usually towel dry, then blow dry... my bag, that is!

lol that m ade me think about my son, when i give him a shower, he likes me to use the hair dryer to dry him off, he thinks its the funniest thing ever

I take my bag off and shower stoma, wafer and everything around it (I use 2 piece) then just blow dry the wafer a little bit and put the dry bag back on. If you happen to get a little "action" it just goes down the drain that is the same one the toilet is connected to so no problem. Nothing like a sparkley clean stoma to start your day!!!

i just cannot stomach (no pun inteded) the thought of leaving the bag off, i know the poo goes down the drain and all but that makes the shower seem dirty!

On change day I shower without my one piece bag on but otherwise I just towel dry my bag and the bit of moisture thats left on it soon dries out with body heat.

if you change to a hand held shower, it is even better and you can always spay shower floor with disinfectant

I found when I had my ostomy that drying the bag helped. I ended up using the hollister new image line which has fabric covering the bag. This also made moisture stay, the wafer was fabric (like a fbric bandaid). I too had times used a blow dryer
