My sleep issues started before my surgery. Mainly because i had to get up like three time during the night just to go to the bathroom. But the prednisone and other meds i was on at the time didn't help. It got to the point where i was probably getting about
2 hours of sleep a night, so it started taking it's toll. After the surgery i probably got more sleep, but still had problems. I finally went to my PCP and he put me on Ambien. Now, don't get me wrong, i really never wanted to be on any more pills or whatever, but it was to the point where i needed something to help me relax and sleep. The Ambien worked great, it helps my mind just relax and i'm able to sleep. I'm probably addicted to it, because i do use it almost every night. But the way i look at it now, there are PLENTY of other things my body could still be addicted to, like prednisone, which was the worst when i was on it and just as bad trying to come off it.
I do take it and don't have any problems with it. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
