Hi everyone, just checking in to see if anyone had any last minute advise for me. Friday is the big day!!! I'm so scared. I have to take these osmoprep tablets on thursday: 20 pills at 3pm and 12 at 8pm. Anyone every had these? I'm a little afraid. I guess I have things packed and ready, I got four night gowns, sock, I hope afterward they will let me wear a bra. I got a shower bag and some slippers. I also packed my resperator that they said I need to take with me. Anyone have trouble with these? I can only get that thing to 2000! I'm suppose to be at 2300. Well if anyone has any experience they would like to share, and any advise I would love to hear it. Thank you to everyone for there wonderful support and I'll be looking forward to talking with you guys afterwards!

I doubt you will care or be able to wear a bra after surgery! With the IV lines it's impossible to wear anything except for a hospital gown. And the first few days being on morphine I couldn't have cared less how I looked and I had the attention span of a gnat. Good luck!

lol!sam i'm with you, i threw on my sportsbra as soon as i could after surgery. I'm sure things will go well. U'll be in my prayers

Happy belated birthday and good luck with the surgery. My advice is use your pain pump and get up and walk as soon as possible to keep the gas pains away!

I hate hospital food and there were no food stops nearby, so I packed snacks (pretzels are good) and candy. An ipod and good book/magazine help when you get tired of watching tv.

Let us know when you can how everything went!

i wore a bra right away, at least as soon as the morphine was gone! i had some gowns, i bought size 2x, and i wear a medium, lol to keep them from touching me! be sure you buy some kind of hand wipes, alchol or antibacterial or something, also take some lotion.

i know it wasn't a subtotla or TC, but i myself didn't get a pain pump, when I got my ileostomy, instead, i was allowed to request more Dilaudid thru my IV every two hours (at first it was every four, but I asked if I could have it more frequently, which they granted without a fight)
