I had all of my colon taken out last Oct. No bag, just reattached my intestines to my rectum.
After I got thru my recovery and my intestines were healing I was doing great. Had started back working out and everything. Able to go to the bathroom normally for the first time in many years. Then around the end of January I started feeling strange. Wasn't able to get my breathe and was feeling weak. I didn't want to go to the doctor right off. Thought it would pass.
Then in February I figured I'd wait till the worst of the flu season was over before I went in to see the Primary Care doctor.
I finally went in week before last and he thought I was anemic. Did blood tests and found out I was severely anemic. Was put in the hospital last week and given 3 units of blood.
Now I'm in the process of finding out why. Going back to GI doctor to do a scope to see if I have bleeding in my stomach or I'm not absorbing iron.
I was just beginning to feel like the surgery was a success and I was getting my life back. Now I'm back to having bad health and going to doctors to find out why. When will this end?!!!
Thanks for reading my rant.
