new to this forum and very scared of surgery june 20th

I was readmitted for fevers which ended up being four abscesses from a leak at my connection. I had drains placed and had them for about 45 days. I am not not going again and having pain. They believe my anastamosis (connection) has narrowed or is blocked. I am having a sedated scop on wed morning and they will decide what to do then. I have been throwing up today and cannot really tolerate and food. Even with laxatives I am only going liquid of stringy mucous. Something is going on.

What hospital is your surgery at?

You have lots of support here and ucRick makes a lot of sense, his story is nearly the same as ours so

must be "normal" for this surgery. if you are prescribed Loperamide / Immodium, do try to take the lower dose if you can as it can dry you out and help in causing blockages. Drink plenty, whatever goes out, put back in to stay hydrated. The very best of luck, I hope it is a complete success.
