I have been feeling nausea. since I was discharged it comes and goes some time needing food or sometimes while in the car and today just sitting at home.
does anyone else feel this way post take down?

i recently had my reversal surgery and have been having issues with neusea.  sometimes it's after i eat and sometimes it's just when i'm doing nothing.  it's normal.  it will get better.  good luck with everything.

Bella,

Are you taking Humira? I only ask as I read that it can make you feel nauseated. I started on Humira Oct 11th with the 4-2-1 treatment I am taking the maintenance shot every other week now.

I AM NOT CURRENTLY TAKING HUMIRA.  RIGHT NOW ALL I TAKE IS ASACOL BECAUSE I HAVE INACTIVE CROHN'S THERE.  THE ACTIVE CROHN'S WAS IN MYTERMINAL ILEUM WHICH THEY REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH AN ILEOSTOMY FOR about 10 WEEKS.  I'M REVERSED NOW SO I AM CURRENTLY IN REMISSION.  MY GI DOC WANTS TO PUT ME ON EITHER METHOTREXATE OR START CIMZIA SINCE I DID REMICADE AND HUMIRA AND I DID NOT RESPOND.  BUT YES HUMIRA DOES MAKE YOU NEASEATED AND SOMETIMES CAN MAKE YOU RUN A FEVER.  ALSO YOU CAN GET INJECTION SITE REACTIONS WHICH INCLUDE A RASH, HIVES, AND ITCHING.  AFTER REVERSAL I GOT EXTREMELY NEASEAUS TO THE POINT WHERE I COULDN'T EVEN LOOK AT FOOD.  IT'S GETTING BETTER THOUGH.  IT HAS BEEN A MONTH SINCE MY REVERSAL.  IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE QUESTIONS DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK.  I'VE BEEN ON EVERY SINGLE DRUG FOR CD EXCEPT METHOTREXATE AND CIMZIA.  ARE YOU IN REMISSION ALSO?  IF YOU HAD THE REVERSAL WHY ARE YOU STILL ON DRUGS?

I am in remission....I guess....as I was in a ileo for 11yrs with out symptoms so I guess thats remission ;), like you I was reversed last month and doing well D's 5-6 times a day.
I need to take Humira to keep the fistula's dormant I had 5 perianal fistula operated on in 3 months before the ileo back in 1997 and when I woke from my
last surgery for the fistulas the surgeon said no more cutting down there as I would loose all muscle function so thats how I got the bag but back then they were only in the early stages of testing the drugs we have today. My GI Doc and surgeon both want to address the fistulas and concentrate treating them as thats what put me in the bag vs Crohns flair or stricture. My main drug from age 13 to 31 was predizone (I know bad but again they did know long term problems) I did azulfidine (sp) but the drugs in the 90's 6mp etc...never helped my crohns only Pred did it for me until I went to the bag then nothing for 11 yrs.
My Humira just showed up at the door an hour ago so I will be taking it soon.

How are you feeling post op are u taking walks, how is your scar's mine are still numb and hard a bit. I have accidents still I get caught not being around a tolet and that sux but some days are really good and I can even get back to my night class on Mondays.

What do you guys do for nausea? Do you take something for it, or just throw up and wait it out? I just had my reversal 7 days ago (they finally let me go home!) and I've been throwing up pretty much once a day since the surgery. It's tolerable, but if there's something I can do to speed recovery, I'd love to hear it.

Ask your doctor for Phenergan. Generic name: Promethazine hydrochloride Brand names: Phenergan. It will help with nausea.

I hope you are doing well after you reversal. I never threw up I just felt nauseated.
I did get sick in the Hosp and they gave me Phenergan.

turn  Hi my poor friends of nausea. My doctor prescribed me 25 mg. of Phenergan and it works wonders!!!!!!!!! It totally wiped out my nausea and vomitting. Also make sure that your are getting enough fluids and not getting dehydrated on top of all the vomitting. Gatorade, Propel and I drink a lot of SMART water. I should get money for all the promoting I do for these products! I hope that this message finds you on a good day. If not, you're in my sincerest thoughts and prayers. It gets better in time, It has been 3 months since I had my sugery and lost my entire large intestine. The recovery is slow and exhausting... but it is so worth not being in so much pain.
