Does your Stoma have a name??

I thought it might be fun to see how many of you have given your stomas a name.  I noted Shaz's Harriet and wanted to share mine as well...I call her Lola and she is my little buddy.  I am looking forward to having my ileostomy reversed (don't know when yet) and think it will be neat to know that at that time, little Lola will be inside me.(my little secret) ..sort of like an invisible imaginary friend.....lol tongue ...Cheryl

No i haven't figured that out yet. To me it's like men naming their man part. I just dont get it!

I wasn't aware that ostomates named their stomas until I visited this forum. So.... When in Rome...
I call mine Stoma Steve;-)

Some of the best names I've heard are Oscar the Pouch, Little Willy (cos that's what it looks like) and Vesuvius (cos it erupts without warning). But my favourite of all time is 'The Stoma Formerly Known As Anus' lol

Since I have four children and ileostomy is not the easiest word to say we call it Leo (i LEO stomy). I have found that having a name gives it more significance and acceptance with my children and even with myself. As far as men naming there man parts, what kind of men do you hang around with Summer? Most guys kind of loose that fascination around the third grade.

LOL slice, the kind of men that still think they are in 3rd grade! Actually i dont know any personally that do that, or if they do thank god they don't share, i just see it on tv

My stoma's name is Paloma, because she loves Italian food! (I couldn't eat it when I was sick)

So far we are just calling mine "Little Chassity" or Lefty (it was on the right and had to be redone to the left). But I really want to come up with something else......Just not feeling anything yet.

Bratcat called her colon "Annie Moore" as in "is there anymore coming?" So it was only natural for her to name her ostomy "Seymour" as in "I see more". This way they are related. She's still trying to come up with a 3rd name for her j-pouch.

Mine is Janet, after Janet in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. When she doesn't behave it's like the song "Dam@ It Janet!"

I'm with the Rocky Horror P:icture Show group (Shaz, BBG) --- When I get upset with a leakage, which is rare, I tend to spout off, "Dam* IT JANET too!!!! And, yes, I guess that does date us!!!

I call mine "you little ****** " when it moves while I'm changing my pouch....other than that, no name at all.
