hi everyone,
It has been now exactly 6 motnhs, actually 6 month and 2 days since my surgery. My BM's are doing well with the metamucil. The food intolerance I had experienced turned out that it had nothing to do with the surgery, but they were intolerances that i might have born with, but due to having severe slow transit constipation since I was born, it was very hard to to tell, especially when I did eat all those foods and I thought I was finally going regularly, but infact I was having diarreah, but because the colon was extremely slow and hardly working, the BM's looked normal. My mom and I were discussing this and she told me that I struggled as a baby with constipation. What finally made my colon die was these psych meds that I was from age 20-29, when I had the surgery, that made the constipation even worse and that is why my colon died and I had to have the surgery. This is a huge relief because me and my mom thought it was all surgery related and then when we realized that they were lasting to long and plus elimination diets from the doctor, that is what it was. I hope this is also a relief to all of you, because as many of you read my posts, because I thought these were surgery related, even though I had explained that it just happed to me, I just hope that all of you did not think that would ahppen to you too. I am glad that I finally got this all straightened out and that means my recovery is complete. I just want to thank you all for your support. I will be on here to give you all of the support anyone needs. I am willing to answer any questions about the surgery and everything that happens after, too. I wanted to share this news with everyone to show you that recovery is in reach. You all will get there, and It feels good. i am actually feeling better enough that I am going back to school in spetember. I can't wait. Well, I hope you all are doing well and good luck to all. You are all very brave, friendly, and very support people. I wish you all of the luck in all of your journeys.
