Butt drain

I have a butt drain to drain the fluid that is behind my unconnected jpouch ( I just had step 2 of surgery).
It is hurting sooo badly. i mean pain is worse than my surgical pain. The pain is in the actual butt incision -- Can't sleep because I can't find comfy position....


Once the drainage stops- it almost has- I can have this removed
Maybe in a week.

Please I need suggestions/ ideas- anyone who has had this and can give me advice.

I was hoping someone would have an idea but I really appreciate you responding with well wishes.
The pain is a little better. Still draining a bit- now trying to get an order for the CAT scan the doctors need to do before they remove the drain.

This is my very first post, so I am hoping it's done right. I'm really sorry to hear about your pain as well. I am not sure if I can give you any advice, but I have been in a similar situation. I had most of my colon removed (due to UC) Dec 2005 with a colostomy and in March 2006 the rest of my colon was removed (leaving the rectum) and a JPouch was created as well as a double loop ileo. My J-Pouch was never hooked up, because I had too much rectal scar tissue. The pain was horrible and the leakage got to be too bad. Actually, my rectum became too diseased to be saved. I now have a permanent ileostomy and no rectum. The drainage being gone is really nice, but I still have flair ups of rectal pain. Doctors say it's scar tissue, and when it happens it puts me in the bed. The only thing I've found that helps besides pain killers would be trying to relax/meditate and I've recently been experimenting with aromatherapy. I think my mom use to hook the heating pad up for me to lay on, and I remember that being helpful. Also, plenty of water!! I never drink enough and it leads to bad cramping and pains.
