Ostowash - unlocked

yeah if you have a two piece you can do that. If mine is really icky (like if i have eaten something smelly, or something that really thickend it) sometimes i take a squirt bottle filled with water and some mouthwash and squirt up into the bag until its about a third full. Close the bag and then move it around a bunch. Then open the bag and let it out. Cleans it out and leaves it minty fresh!
I rarely do that though. And i have never, in two years, taken the bag off and cleaned it out.

...I thought maybe the thread was locked because the original poster was found to have ties to the Ostowash company, OR Ostowash contacted Healingwell and asked that it be locked...either way, I would not be surprised. Companies now actually pay people to go on the internet and write good reviews about their products (even if they are undeserved)! If you Google "Ostowash," our previous discussion is like the 4th item that comes up...easy to find (and try to make sound better since most people here were not keen on the idea) if someone from their company was searching the net.

I could be wildly wrong, but I am always wary about endorsements found on the internet that seem a bit shady, lol. :)


I also was kind of offended how they made us sound so disgusting! If you are saying the BAG is "disgusting" and "unsanitary," I take that personally because frankly, now the bag is a part of ME, you know??

And I see now the other thread was removed entirely. I hope they are sponsoring healingwell.com, otherwise why is healingwell censoring?

I'm seriously offended as well.  My accessory is a part of ME and how dare anyone try to make that seem inadequate.

What the hell happened to freedom of speech?!  Seriously!!!  I should call a news station that likes to research crazy drama.  I'd say this is pretty out there.  Here's the story:

Ostomates angry because company tries to silence the negative feedback regarding invention.  Company goes as far as removing a simple post from a chat forum on a support group site for chronic illness!  Not only is company insulting ostomates nationwide but they are robbing the public of their freedom of speech!

Grrrr!  Maybe this company is under the false pretenses that ostomates lost a few marbles when we lost our colons.  Well.  I for one am looking forward to be loud and obnoxious b/c one thing that I despise is bullies. 

AND, seriously.  Reusing a bag?  They do start falling apart and no matter how well it's taken care of it still gets used and abused.  What idiots.  I wonder if anyone involved with their company is an ostomate or if they even understand the roads we have been on just to be a part of this super cool, wonderful, amazing, kick-ass, survivor club?
