summerstorm--LUCKY YOU
I love Rob Thomas...he's not my type, but I think he is HOT
Trigirl--yes, 'concave' is convexity. It helps to pull your stoma out so it empties into the pouch better. Not everyone needs it, but if your stoma is short or your stomach dips it can really help...I happen to have both of those, so I need it.
I think you can go onto Convatec's website for a video about
the moldable. That is too bad that your WOC Nurse isn't familiar with them
The best way to explain it is to 'roll' the edge back (it's okay if it is bigger than your stoma) apply and Eakin or Paste and apply. The 'rolled' area will spring back and surround the stoma (it's called turtlenecking) which will protect your skin and should help with your bumps, too.
Try it again...many of use have had a few mishaps before we figured things out, too!! Don't get discouraged
