I can vouch for the Sure Seals, too (thanks, NASCARon!). I had my surgery in June and it took awhile for me and my WOC nurse to figure out what would work for me. My leaks would always be under the flange, and they weren't wet, either. We finally settled on using convex barriers, convex rings and OstoBond cement. Things have been pretty good since then. But when I heard about
Sure Seals, I thought I'd give them a try since that's where my leaks would occur. I've been using them for several weeks now and have had only one small leak, but that was because I was laying on my right side as the bag was filling up and fell asleep. It wasn't even anything I had to take a shower for. I won't go out without using a Sure Seal now - I do feel more secure. I also wear an ostomy belt and even though I've never had a leak because of my bag falling off, that also makes me feel secure. I'm sure it will be a long time yet before I quit carrying my emergency kit with me wherever I go, though.
