Hi
I am new to this site, and have spent some time reading before my surgery and since...so am hoping you will be able to offer me some advice and prehaps some re-assurance that this massive decision i have made is going to be ok!!
Ok so i have had CD since i was 16 and several resection surgeries, Nearly 11 years ago i had my illeostomy formed (they kindly left my large bowel inside).
On the 23rd of November i had my reversal surgery, and after a week in hospital am home now.
The only advice i had from the surgeon was that i could eat and drink as normal, somehow i am thinking he didnt really mean this...ie a curry and Vodka!!
So 2 weeks in am starting to worry and panic slightly that i am stuck like this with the going to the loo about 10-13 times a day with much pain and the stools are very watery...am getting worried this is not going to let up and i may have made a mistake!!
I work full time and have told my work i would be off for a max of 3 months, have i underestimated?
Any advice or comments are very very welcome..
Thanks
Sue
