The left side of my stomach has a lot more fat than my right side where my stoma was and when I had my ileo I was lopsided as I gained weight but the ileo made it look even. Even without my ileo if I look down I can see it and if I wear a tight shirt everyone can see my lopsided tummy if they pay attention. I'm ok with it because I know where it came from and I haven't started trying to workout yet.
I did notice that the fat roll decreases consistently as I gain and lose weight. I think that over time it will get better because I used to have a huge pooch over my hand assist scar and that's getting more even as time goes on. Since you have a perm ileo maybe it has to do with how your intestines are placed for the stoma
location and it's not more fat, but more intestines underneath pushing everything out. Just a thought. Hopefully someone else w/ a perm or long term ileo can give feedback for what happens to them.
Kudos to you for working out!! What motivated you? I started a Zumba class one day a week and it's painful because I'm so out of shape but it feels good. DH has a class reunion is this summer so I think there's some major working out and eating healthy in our near future. I'm not looking forward to it...and yet I am but I generally lack motivation to workout.
