Hey Everyone I am finally out of the hospital after 7 days in the hospital I came home on 6-18. My surgery was a success. I had a few problems. My surgery lasted 4.5 hours and they did it lap and
open but my scar is only 6 inches long. When I first woke up it was 8 hours later, I woke up in my room. I had a epidural and no NG Tube thank god.. I really don't rember the first 3 days because I was getting pain meds every 2 hours with my epidural. On my 4th day I started having swelling in my left hand about
the size of a baseball at the same time my thighs and legs were the size of ballons, so they took out my epidural thinking I was having a reaction to it but I still was swelling more. After that I kept blowing the IV's I had 3 in my left arm and hand so I had to get a pic line in my right upper arm and then they took out the other iv's in my left arm and hand and the swelling went away and they thought I had a reaction to the iv's. Then after my pic line was in my right hand swelled up but after changing the tape the swelling went down so I am allergic to adhesive. The next problem was the swelling in my legs the thought I had a blood clot and had to have sonogram to check but no blood clot. Then they thought I had a ilius and had to have xray but no ilius and I started with my bowel movements 15 of them. Anyway I have been pain free since day 5 and I am feeling pretty good. I have about
6-8 bowel movements now and it seems to be slowing. I have been eating a little more each day and seem to be getting more strength each day. I am trying to walk around more each day. Thank you everyone for all your prayer and thoughts.
