what supplies to order?

Christine, you can't use cream because then the bag will not stick. You need stoma powder and allkare protective barrier wipes. The stoma nurse taught me to "crust" the redness around the stoma by applying the adapt stoma powder, then wiping the excess off, then dabbing the powder with the allkare barrier wipe and I am to repeat this 3 times....this leaves a protective layer over my skin and allows the area to heal. I did have a yeast infection around my stoma though and they gave me a prescription powder, nystatin, and I am to use it the same exact was as the adapt stoma powder.

Hi, I would order some adhesive remover its so much easier to remove the bag without tearing your skin also, eakin seals which help to stop leakage. Don't worry christine you will be a proffesional in a few months! Bev x
