acne drug Accutane. Related??

so i was jst reading an article about an actor who is sueing a drug company after he look the drug Accutane which is an acne drug. he believed the drug caused him server Crohns or UC after(it dosnt say) and had to have his bowel removed. hes sueing for 12million!! im socked by this as i also took that drug for a while a few yrs b4 i was diagnoised 10yrs ago...as did my sister and we both have Crohns now.

Has any1 else heard about this is or suffered the same fate!? id luv to sue!

I never took Accutane but there is a commercial on TV about it and a phone number to call. I live in south Jersey, so maybe it is a local lawyer. Yes, there most definitely is a link between Accutane and IBD. Get a lawyer. My dad suffered from asbestosis from working in the ship yard. Yes, he made a few bucks when they discovered how dangerous it was,,,,,but what good was the money, he died from Mesothelioma.

I think there is a class action suit against them from this. I also saw a commercial the other day about it. Def contact a lawyer.

Accutane shouldn't be on the market. My freshmen year roommate had a sister that was an "accutane baby." She's 23 now and is one of the oldest living if not the oldest. She has the mind of a 3 month old baby. Rather tragic having a 24 hour nurse (and her father is a pediatrician).

i have seen the commercial and i saw go for it!
Accutane sounds like some awful stuff, when i looked it up women have to sign papers to use two types of birth control, even if they are fixed they still have to use another form!
My mom said that there is a similar lawsuit for people who have taken any medicine for acne, like if you had a birthcontrol pill that was supposed to help control acne, but i cant find any info on it.

hmm, interesting.. i live in Australia tho so im not sure if ppl r on top of it here like over there? i was also diagnosed like 10yrs ago after havin problems for a yr(aft i took the drug)so im afraid a lawyer mit laugh in my face saying it was 10 yrs ago and u cnt proove it was the drug..even tho its pretty obveous. my sister also has crohns n she was on the drug to at the same time! but my other siblings took it n are ok.
it wld also cost a bundle!! which i dnt have :(

I'd certainly get in on the suit if I could. I wonder if other drugs will come out as causes of IBD. I've already read some people get reversible colitis from zoloft and PPI's but it goes away when they stop taking them.

i hope they will do one from z-packs, thats what got me!

and it doesnt cost anything, they take your case for free, but if you win they take a HUGE amount.
