I have been having trouble with skin ulcers around my stoma for about
8 months. My WOCN and I tried many different things to get rid of them and they are now getting better but still have two one faily large and the other healing well. One of the suggestions I received from one or two of the Healing Well group was to use Friar's Balsm that is ridiculous to find. I had the Canada website and phone # and attempted to work with them but it was really difficult working with the French Canadian when you on speak English. I had given up hope of finding or being able to try it and low and behold our youngest daughter took matters in her hands and found it. These younger folks and computers are amazing. www.herbspro.com located in Union City CA 94587. We ordered it a week ago and it arrived today. I used it when I changed my wafer this afternoon and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it helps. It was a 4oz bottle and it was $37.28, so a good size that will probably last me until I die. It does sting when you put it on so have something handy to fan or blow.
I'll let you know if it works and hopefully we'll be able to see a difference in a week or so. Keep your fingers crossed for me please. The are thinking my malabsorbtion and poor nutritional state got them started.
