I'm now going to be just about
a month and a half post ileostomy surgery and barring the horrible adhesion-blockage situation I had, I am LOVING life right now. I'm finding the right appliance, learning my body all over again and most of all EATING! Gosh I still walk into a place and scope out the closest bathroom ... just out of habit!! Our UC and JPouch days have etched that into our routines I guess. Then I quickly realize that ..... hmmm if I need to go ... I just go and everything will be ok :)
Life is good!

Congrats! I am 3 months post total proctocolectomy surgery with ileostomy and feel excellent too. I eat and eat and eat and eat with no issues. My only problem now is weight gain and I don't care. I think my body was dying for calories anyway. lol
