Hematoma

     Went back to my surgeon on Tuesday.  He told me I didn't have an abscess, which I thought I had, but a hematoma, which (so he said) is quite common after surgery.  That is what he drained in the office.  Thank GOD he didn't have to stick that anuscope up me again .  I am FINALLY starting to feel somewhat better.  I believe the high dose of Cipro and then switched to sulfa and Flagyl made me feel like yuk.

     Since the pains in my back were waking me up during the night, my family doctor wanted me to have an MRI.  Found out that I have metal staples in me on Tuesday, so no thanks to the MRI.  My family doctor assured me that it would be ok, but I think not.  Last night I slept much better and we'll see how things go from here.  I believe it is either arthritis (rampant in my mom's side of the family) or still was the after effects of the antibiotics.
