Does anyone know how you can keep the filters from getting full of poop?

They suck. Hollister has perfected the filters, so has Convatec, now we have to wait for Coloplast to catchup.
However, I love the wide
opening of the Coloplast, easiest out of all of them to clean and secure.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could take the good qualities of all the wafers and pouches that we like and make one perfect one? I like the wafer of convetec, I like the pouch of coloplast. If I could put the two together I would be happy happy.
I don't have problems with ballooning so I don't use the ones with filters. When I got some for samples and used them I do remember the filter getting full of poop and thinking it was yucky. For that reason alone I had to change more often.

ditto to combining favorite features! I like the adhesive coupling and flexibility and cleanablilty of coloplast, but like a tape border instead of that weird extra plastic thing, but i need the adhesive of hollister as coloplast's wafers make me itch.
agreed on the suckiness of filters. Coloplast's stopped working on day 2 hollister on day 3, dumb pancaking poop! but sorry no tips on keeping the poo away from the filters

I've never had any luck with filters - no matter the brand.

I am thinking of trying Ile-Sorb. It is a little packet that you drop into the pouch that turns liquid poop into a gel. Hopefully before the poop can get to the filter.
I'll see if I can get some samples somewhere.
Who knows - maybe it will work...

Never had a filter that worked. I use EZ-vents. You have to manually let the gas out, but it works.

I don't have a problem with filters...I guess I'm in the minority!
@WeirdBeard-I have mixed thoughts about
those things...they don't always '
open' and the whole packet ends up emptying out:( BUT definitely try them since what works for one doesn't for the other!

I just got the new batch of Coloplast supplies. There is a new filter and the pouches are a lot nicer too!!
The filter works a LOT better :)
