UPDATE_______---_____--They went ahead and did the surgery.

Ok so i was coming to expect them to say your sick go home we'll trying sme other time. NO. they went ahead and did the surgery but oh well i was going to have to get it done at some point so yeah.

For thoughs of you who still have your bags i wish i had mine haha.. they put the stoma back in and what not they doctor said the surgery lasted about 35 mins.

When i woke up yeah i was in pain :P but now its just im really really sore but i dont want to take pain meds to cover it up, so since i left the OR and small recovery room i went to my ward where im staying "the same one i stayed at the other surgerys."

I didnt think it was going to be as disturbing of a site when i saw where my stoma was, its about 4 in. deep of a hole "i think i just know its deep" and not to wide but they keep it open because theres more chance of infection if they close it.

Im sore as heck :P

umm they gave me that cream stuff for my butt but i havnt used it yet cause nothings coming out. but yeah.. i wish i kept my bag very much but its too late lol..

ill be on and off during my stay and updating etc...'

Update===

Alright this morning i puked after drinking a cup of cold water. Didnt really hurt much im not sure why.

Um they changed my diet i can now have soft foods. Ordered pancakes and 1 egg. "i wont eat most of it but still something good"

Hmm... I walked for about an hour, i over did it a little :P i ended up beening a bit more sore but yeah.

Gotta go walk and my food just got here. :D ill check messages later bye.

Adam, I am glad that this is over and now recovery will move along quite quickly. Keep looking forward...the first few days after any surgery are really tough.

I have a scar where my 'old' ileostomy was, on the right side of my abdomen. It's the ugliest scar on my belly :( but, it has faded so much even though it's only been 2 years. They kept mine open too, but I did have infection. They had to pack the open wound, and I thought it would be uncomfortable, but it really wasn't.

I KNOW you'll help that other kid out. Just think, how you would've felt if someone your age had come to talk to you before you had to go through everything. Especially if they told you that they actually preferred the bag! I say, if you feel comfortable sharing your story, then definitely do it.

TAKE YOUR PAIN MEDICINE! Dude, you are not superman! You ARE a tough kid, but you'll heal soooo much faster if you take it. I tried to not have to, and when I did start taking it, I was able to do more and walk more and just feel better sooner.
TAKE IT!!! I doesn't mean you're weak, it means you're not a masochist.

Please do keep us updated, because you are helping those of us that want to be reversed some day too. I REALLY want to hear good stories too!

Haha yeah i should but I can take alot of pain, im just sore because of the hole but too me that doesnt bother me much anymore.
