Mucus Color?

So I have the phantom poop problem.... I have a temp ileo (for now - may be perm later) but my rectum and anus are still functional, although not in true use at the moment. I was told from the beginning (although from a friend who had the same procedure, not from a healthcare professional) that I would have the "urge" to go and that's okay because mucus still forms in there and it's just the release that would be happening. For the last week or so when that happens and I go to clean up it's a pinky, red color that makes me think there may be some blood involved. Is this normal? I don't really want to have to go back in for any reason as I'm looking for a job right now and would just like to get back to life again. I have Crohn's still and bloody stool is fairly common with that so I'm just not sure what to do. Anyone else have this happen or have any ideas of what could be causing this?

     I had a lot of that pink tinged discharge.  I swear it was coming out my vagina but my surgeon said it was coming out the anus.  He didn't sew it closed and I have a permanent ileo.  It looks like the stuff that came out the JP tube, doesn't it?  I had it for quite awhile following the surgery and occasionally still get it.
