Incisional hernia repair with ileostomy - anything I should know?

Hi,

I'm having surgery to repair a large hernia that developed as a result of my colectomy in 2003. I haven't had any surgeries since the initial one and just want to know if there's anything I should know going in for the surgery that might impact the ileostomy.

I know to take my supplies, etc. but are there other things I need to make sure do or don't happen?
