depression after surgery

I recently had an ileostomie put in Oct. After being sick for so long, i can def see that i have more energy, and i do feel better. But i can seem to get rid of the depressing feeling. I'm only 30, and I feel like my whole life is on hold till the next surgrey to have the actual colon removed. I'm scared, frustrated, and depressed......

Many of us resorted to antidepressants after surgery when we learned that surgery alone wasn't enough to lift our depression. If your sadness continues, talk with your doctor. There are some great antidepressants that can help you get through this.
