I have just been discharged from hospital this morning after having a Proctocolectomy and temp loop ileostomy. Its all healed well and the bag is working etc. However I've just noticed that along the scar from the surgery (6 inches long going past my belly button) underneath the skin I can feel something thin and hard and it definitely has a corner to it...kind of like a staple?! It is literally right under the surface of the skin, but doesn't hurt or anything. Anyone have any idea what this might be?!

I would just make a quick call to the surgeon's office and ask. It's better to be safe rather than sorry.
