The first thing I did was try to find a way no one knew I had one, so I searched and found the Stealth Belts. They go around the waist and I bought all black and it held everything in place and looked like I had a small purse in front of my jeans etc. For me this was something I had used in the past for keys etc. I also slept with it on and no way did anyone even know I had that colostomy. I got my reversal not quite a year until October and I am doing awesome, the only meds I have to take our metimusal every morning and life is great. I saw for Colostomies only that Vitila and I hope I spelled that right and is made by Conva Tec has a plug with a filter and you just cover it with there bandaid. Also my girlfrend who has a Permanant Ostomy lives in Austraila and she buys the plug in a different brand, well there country dont charge them, but she irragates every morning and plugs up and she says she dont even notice she has an ostomy. This plug does not work for Ileo. Also if anyone is planning on a reversal please get a specialist and I went to Piedmont in Atlanta and it was well worth the three days in the hospital. I have a very thin scar that is fading and am grateful my surgeon was an expert at this. But the year I had a bag, I stuffed it into the stealth belt an not one person even knew unless I would of wanted them too. There are so many new products and they are even working on more for the Illeo. You can hide the bag, a beautiful silk like black or whater color you like little pouch purse and I myself had no problem with my husband seeing it. Also spraying pam on the inside of the bag helps empty it and using baking soda for any odor worked great for me. Good Luck and Hope everyone does well. Cwoody.
