hello everyone my crohns has finally taken its toll... last wednesday i got a temp loop ileostomy to let my large colon and rectum heal. hopefully it will be gone in 6 to 9 monthes..does anyone have any suggestions on support belts for stomas and being active.. ive seen some on the internet and was trying to get some feedback from users..thanks

Hi pain, I had an permanent ileostomy two years ago this month. I use support belt from Nu-hope which is an excellent product. The web site is http://nu-hope.com/. They won't take orders directly but you can order them through bestbuyostomy.com/. Hope this is a help.

My daughter, 18, uses the Phoenix belt and the Stealthbelt. If you are very active such as sports, the Stealth belt would be more supportive. Google Stealthbelt. But, if it is just for everyday use or at night, I'd suggest the Phoenix belt. We ordered it from Edgepark and they were great--THEY called dr. to get rx, called insurance company to verify coverage and sent it out. We didn't have to do anything-it was covered 100%! We got one other one that just slips on and she doesn't like that one at all.

She LOVES the belts! Hated having the bag hanging down her leg--now she wears it sideways with a belt and likes it so much better!!
