is this normal or?...

I've had my ostomy for 12 days (surgery was almost two weeks ago) I am getting more and more comfortable with it each day. I noticed when i replaced my wafter 3 days ago that my stoma appeared thick at the bottom thinner in the middle and thicker again at the top, almost as if the previous wafer was cutting off its circulation. Is that normal for that to happen and are there any damages that i could do to my stoma? I also noticed in a matter of two days my stoma had shrunk in size so i made my newer wafer a tad smaller. I am just worried that i mightve made it too small, although i believe it to be a good snug fit, it feels a little sore/tender towards that base of it. Is this normal? I appreciate any help. <3

i think thats normal too, unless it changes colors or bleeds A LOT regularly its probably ok. It will bleed sometimes, and it might bleed a lot, but it should stop quickly, that happens especially after a change. The soreness you are feeling is probably more from the healing around it, than a problem with the wafer. I cut mine a tad too small, so i dont have any holes around there.
