Do you have pain meds? You're not supposed to be in a lot of pain, seems like something isn't being controlled right.
It hasn't been that long, so I'm not sure about
the appetite.... I had one by that point, but seems like others people don't.... if you're in a lot of pain, that's going to affect your appetite too....
Can you contact your surgeon's office?
Hope things get better soon.

Yea I have Vicodin. It's really more or less just very uncomfortable. My left side is the worse. It just worries me not having an appetite!!

I presume you had it done lapro, it so most people say they had pain in various areas due to the air/gas they pump into abdo cavity during the lapro. Never had a lapro op myself, all mine have been
open procedures so have no experience. Sure someone will be on here soon who may have better experience of this type of op. My appetite too took a while to come back as my bowel tends to go into shut down mode whenever I have an op and takes a while to get back to normal.

I had a lot of pain after my surgery too (which was not lapro). Vicodin and Percocet were not strong enough, so I was sent home with hydromorphone (oral version of Dilaudid). It is the only thing that even remotely worked for me. It is a very strong drug, and can be habit forming, but I had no issues with taking it at the lowest possible dose for two weeks and then stopping cold-turkey and switching to Tylenol once my pain moderated. Pain control is important since being able to move around some after surgery is necessary for good healing. I would see what else is available to you.
I had periods where I lost my appetite after surgery too. The worst was around 4 weeks post-op, and my docs could never find a good explanation for it. I often wondered if it had something to do with the Prednisone taper. It was the worst when I got down to 5 mg. It was so bad that one day it took me two hours to eat an egg. I just felt so sick. Fortunately, my appetite slowly came back.
Hope you find some answers. I don't think it hurts to ask your surgeon about
any pains that seem unusual.
