Take down surgery

My take down (3rd surgery) is in 18 days, I am so excited. Quick question though, am i going to be able to control my bowel move ments or am i looking at having accidents for a while?

I felt like I would have accidents, but I was able to control them.

The 3rd and 4th day post surgery were a bit tough. I parked my butt right next to the bathroom, a few close calls.

I'm 2 week post surgery and I'm able to sleep well and not worry. I do stop having anything to eat from 9pm onwards.

I'm due for my takedown in less than a week and I have the same concerns as you. As a Crohns patient it's pretty rare to have a j pouch but the surgeon says he thinks i'll be fine for at least the short term.

But like you, accidents are my main concern. I've already made the decision to drink only water after surgery. I won't do anything with sugar because it runs right through me.
