IM DOING IT MY WAY like it or learn to like it lol

so as most of you all know im in the super bowel area! WHOAAAAA AND IM DEFINETLY EXCITED iam being discharged today and tommorow is that concert i want to go to its a pop concert!!! and its gonna be so hype the band even has a hype man ive never been to a concert and im going with my little sister latley are relationship has gotten STRONG me beeing in the hospital and her being here for me!!!! i dont know if im going to do the zip-line deppending on how my pain feels hope fully it wont be to BAD!!!! with this post its obvious free to the public but i would rather optimisric post/replys than negative BUT if you HAVE TO SAY SOMETHING/WRITE lol thats ok to!!!!! :) im so happy im leaving today i cant wait to feel the sun-rays on my face! and the night air on my skin ... the bathroom is gonna be tricky but ill figure it out lol :))))

BTW Jackie why don't you change your signature here, because Mr. Wiggels is gone, he is back on the inside where he belongs. You haven't even mentioned him since before your take-down!

Go for it, Jackie. Just listen to your body and make sure you are getting plenty of rest and sleep in between your adventures. As for zip lining, just check out the harness first and make sure it won't press or pull on your wounds....you don't want to pull anything open.

PS, just a misspelling, Jackie, but the "super bowel" is funny.... wish I had had a super bowel, then I might not have needed surgery in the first place!

Jackie it wouldn't hurt for you to have a plan to bow out early if you need to. Will it be extremely crowded? Is there a way you can get a ride, take a bus, a cab, whatever to go home if you need to? I hope you won't need to, but you don't want to get trapped if you don't feel well.

It often takes a bit more planning for us to do things, but then we get to do things!

And maybe inside you, try to frame that you'll enjoy the things you get to do and be happy about that -- rather than setting yourself up to be disappointed if you don't get to do every single thing.

Hopefully, you're going to have DECADES to make up for all the time you were sick.... doesn't all have to happen this weekend!

I'll be the fuddy duddy........if this is a really crowded concert situation the bathrooms sometimes are not all that conveniently located and sometimes the lines are so long. Plus this is all so new you won't have a real good handle on control of your output and potential accidents. I so get it...and know you want to enjoy things. It won't be much longer and you will.

Insofar as zip lining goes I watched it on our cruise in November in Labadee and when you come to a stop it has a real jerking motion with the braking needed to stop you. I think the jerking is too forceful from what I witnessed and I would be very concerned for you so soon after surgery. Please take care and be careful so you have a good recovery.

Jackie you are so excited to get back to things, but I think the physical stuff is going to be just like food: go really, really slowly. The zip line looks fantastic and I want to do it too. But right after surgery? Two Surgeries? Give your body a chance to rest, heal, come back to itself, before you start presenting it with brand new challenges. I think the zip line entails more than just passively sitting in a harness and sliding down, it looks like a lot of muscles groups are going to be working and contracting and you will be so exhilerated you won't even notice if you're straining something. Go to the concert, Definitely. But save a little bit for yourself for later, the zip line will be there next month.

I know how you feel about being excited and getting on with your life. 6 days after I was discharged, I was just determined to go to an outdoor Jazz Fest. 4 weeks prior was Lollapalooza, I had tickets but was in ICU fighting for my life. That particular Saturday morning, one of the residents came to do my wound care, and I noticed his Lolla bracelet. I said...'how was Lady Gaga last night?' He smiled and said sorry. That sparked something in me, to go out and live life. Going to the Jazz Fest was hard, and I got alot of stares because you could tell I was on death's door. Being outdoors, I just laid out my blanket, snacked on food, enjoyed the music and people, feel the sun, was so happy to be alive. Next weekend was Oktoberfest...and so forth. I was careful, did things in stride. Don't push too far!
