j-pouch question

Hello everyone, i have had a j-pouch for 3 years now and i have never had any problems. However, the last 2 days i have been having a bright red blood when i wipe but i dont see anything in my stool. It is slightly painful when i go but not too bad. Any ideas? should i be worried or go in?

Could be a hemmoroid. Just a thought.

I always thought it was ok to have a little when you wipe but if its in the stool then it should be checked out soon.

Is it a lot of blood? Could be a hemorrhoid. Pouchitis could also cause bleeding and some pain but usually you will have urgency along with it. If it continues I would just get it checked out for piece of mind. I haven't has anything like this happen with my jpouch yet but my rule of thumb is if I see blood I'm callng my doc.
