A little worried

I can totally empathize with you since I am seeing a doctor this Wednesday about a possible ostomy, and am also being treated for depression. Just keep posting out here and talking and getting support, while being as good to yourself as possible. There's a lot of love, understanding, patience, and wisdom out here.

     I think the one thing worse than dealing with these problems that occur to oneself, is dealing with them which affect our child.

     I cannot imagine the worry and stress that the parents of a child who suffers from IBD or any serious illness must go through and my heart goes out to them. 

It is hard not to worry no matter what anyone says. Just try and take it one day at a time and be as optimistic as you can so you don't get so anxious and depressed.

My husband is doing very well overall and even at that there are still moments. I think I feel it more for him than he does or will admit to. (I seem to be the one making sure of this and that and trying to avert/avoid potential situations to the point it makes me anxious. I'm the worrier and he isn't.)

This is a major life changing event that nobody wants but when it ends up helping to restore "a new normal" in ones life and you honestly are now enjoying life once again even with the new limitations there is a lot to be thankful for overall. (But some days you just don't feel that way which is normal too.)

Hope things start to look up and get much better real quick!!!
