fear of bag exploding

I was wondering if anyone else has a fear of their bag exploding. I have had to change my bag 3 times since last night, and while it has slowed down a little I am to afraid to go to work. I have up to an hour commute by bus to get to work and I work in retail. I am so afraid of my bag exploding that I called in sick today, even though I could have made it, or at least tried. I have had my bag explode on me at work before and it is so embarrassing. This is a new job and they don't know I have crohns or an ostomy, and I don't want poop everywhere to be the reason they find out. I was just wondering how many other people are afraid sometimes to leave their home because there bag might explode.

I am TERRIFIED and actually pushed back my return to work date by 3 weeks to give myself extra time to get everything healed up so I can apply my pouch correctly - right now I have to work around an abcess and my mid-line wound. you are not alone!

is it because of too much output or gas? if its gas you can get a pouch from Coloplast i believe that has a charcoal filter that allows the air out but doesn't stink.

Do you mean exploding, or is the output running under the seal so that it opens up?
If that's what is happening, (not really exploding from being too full) then it is probably because your stoma is going through shrinking. I would try a convex light bag (like from coloplast) and together with an eaken ring. It's the time when you need to figure out which supplies are right for you. The leakage will stop, with my end stoma it stopped after about 2-3 weeks.

i'd been using the bags for over a year and never had this issue. but i guess it depends on what you're eating as well. ;)

     I've had two bags "explode" on me and they were both Hollister.  That is why I switched over to the Coloplast Sensura.  I use the one piece but I think they are available in a two piece system.   Even if the Coloplast gets a little too full than I would like it to be and I can't get to the restroom...holds like a HEFTY bag yeah !
