HI Everyone,
Well I'm on the other side. Saw my colon surgeon on Monday 2/20 as all of you might know. Once he saw me in the office he said I needed to be hospitalized immediately, very dehydrated and sick sick sick. I was scared when he told my husband to bring me to the hospital. Went in with no food or water, TPN and IV steroids, day 5 still not better, did a colonoscopy and we booked surgery. The day after surgery I thought I was going to die, couldn't get out of bed, bp pulse and oxygen level kept dropping. Then 3 days after surgery they forced me to sit up, and after I was able to sit up and not feel so faint. Every day gets a little better! Colon surgeon said If I waited a few more weeks, I would not be here to tell my story. Got home yesterday from hospital, now just recovering. Stoma was a small price to pay for saving my life! UC FREE and soon to be Prednisone Free!
