Dark patch on stoma, swollen and smelly?

Guys, I'm panicking here a bit.... In the last couple of days I still had some soreness around my incision site ( belly button downwards) with some sharpish pulling pain extending towards the site of my stoma. Thinking it just the staples, which turned red a bit in the last 2 days and are due out tomorrow. However this evening I checked my stoma and noticed a darker coloured patch on the lower left hand side of it, this side of my stoma is still swollen and quite hard. I immediately did a bag change thinking maybe the Eakins seal and opening were to tight. When I cleaned it I noticed a bad smell, not strong, but noticeable. I put a new bag on without the eakin seal this time and it feels a bit more comfortable. but I'm really worried now that it might be infected. I'll call the stoma nurse first thing tomorrow. But if you have any ideas/similar experiences please let me know

Just came back from the nurse... She couldn't find an infection, no hard lumps under skin, and she prodded and no sign of puss coming through. There still was smell, but not that bad. The colour change on the side of my stoma, she thinks I must have kind of bruises it, maybe by continuously sleeping on my left side and it may be have been pushed against the wafer. So orabase and daily wafer changes are the order. So hopefully that'll ease the bruising. She also said that my abdomen is still very swollen, but my butt wound looks fine.
So hopefully it will settle down soon. Fingers crossedx
