stoma looks irritated

just wondering if this is normal or not.... the underside of my stoma (that is hard to see) looks a bit irritated and a darker red than normal. the rest of it looks fine, but just on the underside.
for the first time, the last eakin ring i had on, i had it kind of up and over the base of my stoma so it was like a turtleneck i guess. and it came up between the stoma and the ring edge of the base plate hole.
do you think it might have been irritation from the eakin ring rubbing on it?
the new one i put on this morning i just left down on the skin flat rather than build it up around the bottom of the stoma.
should i wait and see what it looks like after i do the next appliance change or is it more serious and i should see my stoma nurse?

I think the Eakin will turtleneck up on its own wont' it? So you don't have to build it up around your stoma?
