What a cute little guy. We're proud of him and don't even know him. This really touched our hearts.
Regardless of how well he adjusts and accepts this, I can't help feeling sorry when someone so young has to endure this. Of course it is what has saved his life but it is still tough and breaks your heart. He is certainly off in the right direction and may it always be that way for him and his family.
My husband was 64 and retired and it is quite easy to accept and embrace this lifestyle change when you are finally pain free & get your life saved literally.
I/we marvel at the courage and various situations many of you have to accept be it your age, raising families, relationship difficulties, job problems, financial etc. while trying to adjust to another challenge. Of course living with this and witnessing it first hand gave me an acute awareness but it also gave me a great in-depth understanding and even greater compassion for others. I was always a considerate person but this experience has definitely taken it to another level in my older years.
{{{HUGS}}} to all of you.
