HI all, since you have been so great at making suggestions, I need advice again...
I am not sure if I have a blockage, and am having some issues with that. My doc suggested a colon prep to get things moving..I did that, with almost no results..He has now suggested ANOTHER CT SCAN..this would make 23 in 9 months mad
Is there something else I can ask for?
How do you know if you are blocked? My symptoms are:
~usually 9-10 bowel movements a day, down to 2-3, with way less volume than normal
~sick to my stomach after eating ANYTHING, now vomiting
~bloated and uncomfortable
~absolutely exhausted..just can't sleep, and can't get enough sleep (how is that for an oxy-moron??)
~just feel really really crappy (no pun intended)
~and my vision is for crap! I can't see a blasted thing clearly!! (what the heck is THAT about???)
I just REALLY don't want another ct scan if I can avoid it..
suggestions..PLEASE...

Ohhh, and I forgot to add:
yesterday when I had one of my "small" bowel movements, it had corn in it..(normal, I know,) but i have not eaten corn since last tuesday!!!!

Sorry for the delayed reply. Not sure I know what to suggest. Are you any better? did you get the CT? I guess if there is any sort of stricture then a 'colonoscopy' (I know you don't have a colon, but they could scope and have a look) might find something.

Not much movement yet, still putting out about a cup of liquid and some stool a day..usually about 8-10 cups. Called doc, did a colon prep, and enimas, with no luck..miralax, prunelax...does anyone else go thru this? Normal, then off for a couple of weeks...then ok again.. and back and forth like this?
I am just not sure what is normal and what is not. And i feel like an idiot for always calling and thinking something is wrong..
But, no, my c.t. scan is scheduled for next week. But, I am worried about 2 things: 1~ That is a long time to keep going like this, and that is what got me into this trouble in the first place. ( causing me to have the surgery) and 2~ My son gets married next weekend, and I do not want to have c.t. on thursday, and then have something be wrong and having emergency surgery and missing his wedding..(actually, that WOULDn't break my heart, as the bride does not like me and won't talk to me, and won't let me son talk to me..)
Anyway, so I just don't know.
I am getting a lot more pressure in my upper legs/pelvis, and in my lower back, and under my ribs..Just feel really crappy, and have been blaming allergies, but now I am not so sure...

So how did it go? Did you get the ct and did you have a blockage?

I go monday for my retrograde ileostomy stoma xray. Terrified. But we need to know why this stoma cannot output more than liquid seeing as it is wide open on finger exam. These are done lying down I wonder if when I stand things change? Sorry I digress.

Haven't had it yet..but told hubby it would not surprise me if we ended up at hospital by end of weekend. :( Still not much output, just about a cup of liquid with a couple of tablespoons of pencil-eraser size pieces of poo.
Feel really bloated, and tummy is hard as a rock. Eating anything makes me soo sick.
That depresses me because today is our Canadian Thanksgiving dinner :(
It took me like 7 days to pass corn, BUT the other day we had peas and some came out the next day..so I don't know. I just feel like a whiny butt... lol
But how do you know when something is truly wrong? versus, being overly cautious??? And after everything YOU have gone thru Rosemary, is really any such thing as overly cautious???
Hope it goes well for you tomorrow, I am praying hard for you :) (and I am not even religious)
