I have some tissue, the same color as the stoma (indeed, I thought it was the stoma) under the stoma; today the nurse said she thinks it's skin, because there where a piece of hair there, which she took off.
I'm not sure it's irritated skin. It's exactly the same colour of the stoma. The fact is, it's a bit sore. And a very small "baloon" which is really really sore and tender.
she tried to "burn" it with something, it became istantly white, and she said will turn black and die, but now it seems again reddish, and still harms me. She advised cut the adhesive barrier very thight and put it ABOVE that, and above the red tissue (skin?); now, the balloon is brewing out some liquid (could be pus, but it's transparent) which I think is a good thing, but it makes my mono-piece bag detach. I don't know if the liquid is going out from the whole red tissue or just the "balloon"
I'm worried as I can't understand what it is. It's strange is skin, as it had exactly the same colour as the stome. It's impacting my quality of life as I'm aware the stoma is not harming me, if I touch the stoma it's a good sensation (feel nothing), but the around where there is this tissue really ruins all it.
Anyone experienced this? Thanks.
