Recovery time for step 2 j-pouch takedown surgery

I'm right now a little over a month away from step 2 of a 2 step j pouch operation. My 2nd step (takedown surgery) will be taking place in early March.

For anyone who has been through the 2 step j-pouch surgery, how long was your recovery?

I think that my step 3 will be the same as your step 2 - just take down

My Doctor said up to 12 weeks. Not so much for recovery from the surgery - which is simple - but to allow enough time to train the pouch so you are not going all the time and/or to resolve any incontinent issues or complications.
