Convatec Assura

Anyone use this set up? I've been wearing the Hollister New Image for the last 2 years and it worked great for me... Until I gained some weight. I started using the convex barrier rings with the convex wafer. I was still getting a small leak because I have an indentation on the right side of my skin near my stoma.

So I ended up seeing my stoma nurse because I had some granulomas that needed to be burned off and I wanted to see what else I could do to stop these leaks. She recommended I use the regular (non-convex) adapt barrier rings with the convex Convatec Assura appliance because the wafer has a deeper convexity than the hollister. So far it feels fine, but I noticed the paper on the flange isnt very sticky. Does anyone else have this problem? Also, how is it in the shower? Does the paper start lifting when it gets wet? Mine lifted shortly after she applied it so my belt is basically holding everything together.

Please let me know any pros/cons before I order them

The extended wear doesn't have the 'paper tape'...it's all plastic. Even with that I use a Sure Seal so I get more wear time.

I had a similar problem with Hollister and have been happy with Coloplast ever since.

Thanks for the advice guys. I actually just looked at the box again and it is the Natura, not sensura. Is there a big difference?
I changed the appliance again and used sure seals. It covered most of the wafer but I will have to figure out a way to trim accordingly. I also notice when I move I get folds in the paper underneith the sure seal. I like just about everything else about it though.

I was going to say, I'm sure it's Coloplast Assura. I loved it for about 10 years before Menopause hit and my skin changed and didn't like it anymore :(
