Vacation tomorrow!

Just finished packing for my first VACATION since surgery seven weeks ago (and first one since getting UC, too). Going to the beach with a few friends, and I even got a high waisted bikini that covers my bag. I have enough supplies to change my wafer five times for a four day trip... so I think I'm probably covered, lol. I changed tonight and I'm returning on Sunday afternoon, I usually go 3-4 days between changes so I think I'll probably make it without having to change at all.

Any travel tips? Oh, who am I kidding, I'm prepared, I just wanted to brag ;)

Thanks everyone, I'm back!! Everything ostomy related went totally fine... my flight on the other hand got canceled on the way home and I spent about ten hours twiddling my thumbs in the airport, boo! Soooo tired and happy to be home.

I got back-scatter-scanned in both directions and no one said boo about my pouch, nor did anyone seem to care about the scissors I brought. I had to empty my pouch at 30,000 ft which was interesting, but despite some nervousness about a borderline wafer, I did avoid having to change my entire appliance at altitude

LOL, it was actually exactly the same. It was even a little easier than usual because airplane toilets don't have water in the bowl, so there wasn't any risk of splashing.

You will be out and about before you know it too!
