Hello!
Mr. Just said...
Wow, I wasn't aware that protein does such wonders. I love it. Thanks.
I chewed my food really good. Must be bad luck. We'll see. I won't push myself for the next couple of weeks.
So. Yesterday I was refused pain medication for the most of the day. When I was caught puking I was actually given some attention even though I have complained multiple times to the nurses and my doctor. At first I was given some weak pain and anti nausea medication which lowered the pain from agony to something more managable. Few hours later when I wasn't getting any better and was still in agony, they decided to give me an x-ray which showed nothing. 7 hours later they gave me some more pain medication.
Some time after that, nurses called for a doc to check on me as I wasn't getting any better. She decided I need a CT scan.
To shorten the rest of the story.
She decided I had too much gastric acid so I need an NG tube.
I wasn't aware it's so thick! I was supposed to have it at least untill the morning. 3 hours later they took it out because I wasn't taking it well.(yay?)
During the night I managed to squeeze some of the blockage out.
It's like a dough.
Can't say I'm excited to see what will happen today. Too bad they have no experience with blockages here at all.
Pain persists. I might suggest them some medicine to boost my peristalsis. Maybe that will help.
Sorry for a long post. I'm tired, annoyed and in pain.
Best regards to you all!
Yes that was me.
I logged in from my netbook using an account I have forgotten about
:O. I am so sorry. I think I created it because I was looking for your opinion of asking for ileostomy.Back then I was begging my old gastrologist to set me up for a colectomy. Obviously, the answer was no even though I had pancolitis with loads of pseudopolyps.
Your post gave me some hope. I refused to eat solids yesterday and today, then got a lecture from the doctors that they are the ones who tell me what to do.
I read manuals on UOAA and others. Many informations there completely contradict some of the things my doctors say.
I will listen more to my body. I had to sleep sitting down, that's the only position I can handle and the doctors wanted to force me to lie flat:(.
Thankfully my stoma started outputting some matter 1 hour ago and is still working.
On the bright side, I don't mind my bag at all. I was preparing for it ever since I was diagnosed; it was inevitable in my case.
Regards.
Edit:
I have just ordered 7 pounds of protein.
Should aid me in my recovery. :)
