I had my illeostomy surgery 4 weeks ago. I developed ulcers ON my stoma (not around it) which he gave me steroid shots for which eventually cleared it up, and then had a mucocutaneous seperation of the skin around my stoma all the way around. The doctor told me that it was likely my crohns not being in remission but that the seperation would eventually heal. I have 2 questions
1) has anyone else had this happen (ulcers or the seperation all the way around) and if so, how long did it take to heal and how well did it heal?
2) since my surgery, my stoma has alternated from being anywhere from about 3/4" long to 1.25" long depending on whether I'm up or down and how active I am. Is this normal, or is this a small prolapse?
