Prep required for ileoscopy (through stoma)

Have been having problems with iron deficiency anemia and they want to scope my upper GI tract including part of the small bowel. I have an ileostomy and the GI intends to go into through stoma for a peek as well as coming in through the mouth (assuming separate scopes ;-)). I got the instructions from the GI unit for the prep in the mail and it seems like complete overkill involving miralax, ducalax and 64 ounces of Gatorade, ick. To paraphrase, my bag will runneth over. It is clearly some kind of prep for a colonoscopy (says so). I am going to contact the GI who is out of town at the moment but was wondering what other people's experiences were with the prep for this procedure. Seems like very little would be required. As I said I have no colon and have an ileostomy.

have had many ileoscopes. Only prep is no food or drink 3 hours prior. DO NOT do that prep they sent you. You could become severely dehydrated.

When I had the stoma, I needed to get a colonoscopy and an ileoscopy. (That the GI doc ended up doing it wrong is something for a different post.) I did chicken broth and jello, along with other clear liquids, the day before my procedures and all was fine. In fact, when I had my ileostomy reversed, I used the same preparation and the surgeon was absolutely fine with it.
