Does anybody here use Questran to regulate output?

I used it when I had a colon. If you have an issue with very watery, bright yellow, burning BMs it can help (sign of poor bile absorption in the ileum) but if your loose stools aren't due to excess bile then it wouldn't be helpful. It also tastes terrible and causes poor absorption of nutrients and other meds. Have you tried Imodium, Lomotil, fiber supplements, and thickening foods? I would start with any of those before using Questran (aka cholestyramine).

Hi I too use to use it when I had a colon and loved how it worked I would take it first thing in the morning before eating/drinking and I could get through the day till 4pm on only 1 sachet You can mix it with a drop of juice as it is yuk! xx
