Did you have IBD? People with IBD can get sores called pyoderma gangrenosum. However, those typically eat into the skin, not boil up. PD can turn black and the edges of the sore might be purplish/bluish/blackish. PD does hurt quite a bit. I would suggest that next time you get one, go visit the doctor.
